In the Laganas Bay is located the National Sea Park of Zakynthos Island. There, in the Sekanies Beach, the ‘Caretta Caretta’ sea turtle lays her eggs each summer between June and August. This species of sea turtles can reach up to 140kg in weight and 120cm in length. They lay about 120 eggs of which, sadly, only 1 little turtle will make it to adulthood.
It is a truly amazing experience! You will swim along these wonderful creatures with the strange name ‘Caretta Caretta’ and we are sure that you will love them.
