According to Greek mythology, Paxos was created when Poseidon struck Corfu with his trident, so that he and his wife Amphitrite could have a private resort.
To this day, Paxos is chosen as a resort by the rich and famous. Among others, members of the Agnelli family (of FIAT fame) have built a palatial holiday home at Kaltsonisi, complete with a faux mediaeval tower.Â
The companion island of Antipaxos is almost uninhabited, and has three beaches: Vrika (white sand), Mesovrika (pebbles) and Voutoumi (pebbles).

The Ionian Sea is famous around the globe for its emerald waters. Our first stop for swimming will be at the stunning beaches of Vrika or Voundoumi on Antipaxos; whichever is most suitable depending on the weather conditions.
Antipaxos is a small diamond in the heart of the Ionian Sea. And we’re going to explore its striking coastline, as our yacht cruises across beautiful waters.
We will cruise around Paxos, passing by Kaltsonisi and then across the famous fjord of Paxos onward to Mongonisi. We will admire the luxury villas there and we will be given the chance to admire the beauties of Ortholithos (meaning Standing Rock), Kamara and Spilies.
After our splendid tour around Antipaxos and Paxos, you should be famished, right? Our final stop is the village of Gaios or Lakka, on Paxos, where you can indulge yourselves in the specialties of the local cuisine.
